For nearly two decades, Scott has served in executive roles, primarily as a Chief Financial Officer or Chief Operating Officer. A Certified Public Accountant, Scott has broad and deep experience working with both public and private companies across an array of industries, including technology, healthcare, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He has worked with the Fortune 50 public companies, private equity-backed enterprises, and closely held lower middle market companies.
At Butler Snow Advisory, many of Scott’s engagements are as a Chief Financial Officer where he helps clients develop and implement solutions to financial and operational challenges. Scott is also the architect of our “CFO+” approach, a holistic, customized methodology we use to provide our clients a competitive advantage. He also leads Organizational Consulting engagements, in which he assists clients with identifying talent and talent needs and building and developing high performing teams.
Currently, Scott serves as CFO & CAO for Alliance for Multispecialty Research (AMR) - a clinical research company comprised of some of the most highly respected and experienced clinical research centers in the U.S.
He also leads a class in the UAB School of Entrepreneurship called "Entrepreneurial Finance and Accounting", in which the entrepreneurs of tomorrow learn how to develop and use Accounting and Finance skills in their future endeavors. He has also served as a mentor in the Alabama Launchpad and the Entrepreneur Accelerator Program and has worked with many of Birmingham’s most promising start ups.
Scott has served in a variety of community focused volunteer endeavors, including Chairman of the Greystone Foundation, as well as Board roles for Redemptive Cycles, KidOne Transport, Alabama Environmental Council, and the Bryant Jordan Scholarship Foundation.
He lives with his wife Christina and his trusty Rhodesian Ridgeback Cash in Mt Laurel, Alabama. Scott is an avid (and highly competitive) golfer who also enjoys inshore fishing, paddle boarding, and cycling.
