• I have an interest in hemostasis and thrombosis research, specifically thrombotic microangiopathies including thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). At the University of North Carolina, I am assisting in banking plasma from each TTP patient’s first apheresis procedure, which will allow us to create a bank of research samples for additional studies. Going forward, I plan to utilize these banked samples to further my work in potential biomarker recognition as a predictor of TTP relapse.
