Vaccines against human cytomegalovirus: Time to test

Academic Article

Recent studies in humans and animal models have shown that some human cytomegalovirus proteins can induce protective immunity. The availability of recombinant viral proteins means that candidate subunit vaccines can now be tested in clinical trials.
