  • The emergence of resistance driven by the selective pressure of antimicrobial therapy has challenged generations of clinicians and scientists. In the case of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, antiretroviral (ARV) resistance has played a significant part in the management of HIV-infected persons.
