Omega-3 fatty acids decrease protein kinase expression in human breast cancer cells

Academic Article

  • We report that 5-day exposure to physiological concentrations of eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids resulted in a strong decrease in expression of the RIα regulatory subunit of protein kinase A and the PKC-α isozyme of protein kinase C in the human breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231.
