Abstract

  • The article discusses how children can benefit from classrooms that promote multilingualism. Topics discussed include the need for families, teachers and administrators to systematically support multilingualism, key aspects for maintaining collective support for linguistically sustaining practices, and on how early childhood teachers can create inclusive environments that support, promote and provide opportunities for language and literacy development.
