Test of Brindley's after image hypothesis

Academic Article

Abstract

  • Brindley reported that the negative after images, when viewed briefly at successive two minute intervals after a strong bleaching exposure, gradually lose detail and finally become homogeneous before disappearing. The purpose of this study is to report failure to confirm Brindley's hypothesis by means of a threshold procedure falling into his 'class A' category.
