  • The article discusses the role of arts education in improving the academic achievement of students. According to the authors, the benefits of arts education to students include reading and language skills, mathematics skills, thinking skills, social skills, motivation to learn, and positive school environment. They add that storytelling, dancing, drawing, painting, and singing have been part of the human culture since the beginning of civilization. Success stories that illustrate the value of arts education in academics are provided.
