NMR linebroadening studies of transition metal complexes in acetonitrile solution

Abstract

  • 1 2+ 2+ 2+ 3+ 2+ 3+ 14 1 H variable temperature NMR linebroadening studies of several first row transition metal ions (Cu , Ni , Fe , Fe , Mn and Cr ) in acetonitrile solution were made and the results were analyzed using the Swift-Connick formalism. The kinetic results of these studies were compared to previous results on the same system using N NMR. The study also reexamined previously reported H NMR work on metal ion-acetonitrile solutions where disagreement has been noted in the literature. © 1980.
