Desmoplastic infantile gangliogliomas

  • Desmoplastic infantile gangliogliomas (DIGs) are rare, recently described typically large cystic, su-pratentorial tumors that occur predominantly in infants. It is important that they be recognized and properly diagnosed because they generally show a favorable response to surgical therapy in spite of malignant radiographic and histopathologic features. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
