Desmoplastic infantile gangliogliomas

  • The recently described desmoplastic infantile ganglio-gliomas (DIGs) are rare, typically large, cystic, supraten-torial tumors that occur predominantly in infants. It is important that they be recognized and properly diagnosed because they generally show a favorable response to surgical therapy in spite of malignant radiographic and histopathologic characteristics. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
