We report herein an analysis from a single transplant center comparing early cadaver renal allograft function in which kidneys were preserved either by simple hypothermic storage in Eurocollins solution or by pulsatile perfusion with Belzer's perfusate. All renal donors and transplant recipients were managed by the same team of transplant surgeons and organ procurement personnel at the University of Alabama Hospital.
