Abstract

  • The use of ventricular assist devices in patients with complex congenital heart disease has not been well described. We present a case of successful ventricular assist device support in a 38-year-old man with congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries and severe secondary pulmonary hypertension. © 2013 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
