Survival of Drosophila melanogaster larvae on defined medium supplemented with naturally occurring nucleosides and nucleic acid bases

Academic Article

Abstract

  • Survival of Drosophila melanogaster larvae grown on defined medium supplemented with nucleic acid bases, ribonucleosides, and deoxyribonucleosides has been measured at doses from 10-4M to 3.16 × 10-2M. Purine-related compounds generally are more toxic than pyrimidine-related compounds. © 1977.
