Dr. Nadia M. Richardson has demonstrated a persistent commitment to research and community outreach regarding health equity, health disparities, identity and cultural competency. Dr. Richardson teaches in the Biomedical Sciences Program with the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Health Professions. Her professional experience includes over 15 years working with nonprofit organizations and various universities. As a university instructor, she has developed and taught college courses on diversity, social justice leadership, health disparities, culturally responsive care, bioethics and academic potential. Dr. Richardson is the Founder of No More Martyrs, a national mental health awareness campaign committed to building a community of support for Black women and girls. Shei s also a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant who provides consulting services on topics such as intentional diversity, cultural responsiveness, social justice and mental wellness equity.
