• Dr. Pflederer joined the Division of Cardiovascular Disease at UAB in August 2019 as an Assistant Professor. He completed medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2013. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine training at University of Colorado as well as the University of Kansas, where he finished in 2016. He completed his Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at the University of Missouri-Kansas City/Saint-Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute in 2019. Dr. Pflederer has received awards for academic excellence and was nominated into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. His interests include echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, preventative cardiology, and medical education.
