    Research Overview

  • My research interests broadly involve understanding and preventing harmful and risky behaviors, including suicide, self-harm, substance use, and HIV risk behaviors. My work also focuses on the effects of trauma on these behaviors, particularly among underrepresented and underserved communities including LGBTQIA+ individuals. My overarching mission is to inform the development of effective interventions on these behaviors, particularly those that are sensitive and responsive to underserved groups.
