    John J. Sloan III is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Criminal Justice where he served as director of two graduate programs (Criminal Justice; Computer Forensics and Security Management which he co-founded) and as Interim Chair (2003-2004) and Chair (2004-2016). He also co-founded (2010-2011) served as Associate Director (2011-2013) and Director (2014-2016) of the Center for Information Assurance and Joint Forensics Research.

    John Dantzler is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry, the Vice Chair of Substance Abuse Programs, and the Executive Director of the Beacon Recovery and Community Justice programs. Beacon Recovery is UAB's substance use treatment program dedicated to serving uninsured and under insured individuals in an outpatient setting.
