Overview

  • Carla Copeland is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine. She graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2015 where she received the honor of induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2018 and her pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Vanderbilt University in 2021. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. Her area of clinical expertise is in interstitial lung disease and she is a member of the interstitial lung disease group. Her academic interests include medical education and curriculum development.
