Overview

  • Dr. Budhwani is an Associate Professor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health (SOPH) Department of Health Care Organization and Policy, Visiting Professor in the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS), and affiliated faculty with the Florida State University (FSU) Center for Translational Behavioral Science (CTBS). Dr. Budhwani conducts studies to address the causes and consequences of health disparities among stigmatized populations that experience adverse health outcomes in resource-constrained settings. Dr. Budhwani's research is informed by sociological constructs, guided by human rights frameworks, and adopts a multidimensional view of how to address public health and clinical care inequities.
