Mrs. Bolus is a Skills Lab Educator within the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing. Prior to working at UAB, she served as a staff nurse at Children's of Alabama on the inpatient Hematology/ Oncology/ Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. Educating new graduate nurses and precepting nursing students quickly became one of her favorite parts of her job at Children's, prompting her to return to school in 2016 to pursue a Master's of Science in Nursing Education. She joined the UAB School of Nursing as a full-time staff member in January 2019. She is married to Dr. Anthony Bolus, a pharmacist in the Birmingham area, and enjoys making interprofessional collaboration part of her everyday life!
Research interests include innovative teaching and evaluation strategies, the use of simulation in education, and interprofessional education.
