Overview

  • Dr. Thachuthara-George received his initial medical training at India’s St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India. Following this initial training, he worked as a research volunteer and clinical observer in the University of Texas Medical School at Houston’s Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. This work was soon followed with a residency training program in University of Texas Medical School at Houston’s Department of Internal Medicine.

    Dr. Thachuthara-George quickly moved on to Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine where he also received training in transplant pulmonology. Dr. Thachuthara-George then went on to complete an extra year of training in Interventional Pulmonology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Following this fellowship, he joined the UAB faculty in 2016 as Assistant Professor of Medicine.
