Research Overview

  • Through research, clinical practice and program development, I seek to assure access to high quality addiction and medical care for the homeless and other historically underserved populations. My research focuses on implementation of housing solutions, delivery of high quality primary care, and development of methods to measure the primary care experience of homeless patients and hold clinical care systems accountable to this population. My clinical work with homeless persons began in 1996, and guided the development of my research focus beginning with a K23 award from National Institute on Drug Abuse in 2002.
