Spin correlations in nonlinear optical response: light-induced kondo effect

Abstract

  • The existence of a new many-body effect in the nonlinear absorption of a Fermi sea (FS) system with a deep impurity level was addressed. It was shown that a Hubbard repulsion gives rise to an anomaly in the third-order optical susceptibility. The origin of this anomaly was related to the Kondo effect.
