Controllable clarifying shut-off in a large-aperture LiF:F2-crystal

Abstract

  • An optical shut-off in an LiF:F2-crystal is opened in a neodymium glass laser by a beam from a low-aperture auxiliary laser. It is established that the energy of radiation of the controlling pulse may be an order of magnitude lower than the energy of the monopulse of the triggering laser.
