Clinical aspects of silent myocardial ischemia in China

Academic Article

Abstract

  • Since the recognition of silent myocardial ischemia, there has been controversy about its prevalence among different patient subgroups.1-4 There has also been controversy over the frequency and diagnostic applicability of asymptomatic ST-segment depression found during ambulatory electrocardiographic monitoring.5 Also, few data exist on the occurrence of silent myocardial ischemia among different ethnic groups. This report describes the occurrence of ambulatory monitored ST-segment depression in a large group of Chinese subjects. © 1991.
