Research Overview

  • Our laboratory is generally focused on the role of nitric oxide in vascular and renal function. Specifically, we have sought to determine the mechanisms of endothelial dysfunction in hypertension and diabetes as well as determining the role of nitric oxide synthase isoforms in control of renal sodium excretion and blood pressure. We have a strong effort in determining mechanisms of early life stress in adult vascular and renal dysfunction.
