Overview

  • Scholarship

In research and information dissemination, my role is to address the areas of health promotion and health services. My research interests include: health disparities, health communication, and health and human services utilization. In this work, I examine pathways to building health equity in communities, the process to disseminating health information and behavior change within segments of the population, and work to mediate factors that influence access and quality of health and human services.

    Service

As a public servant, it is important to utilize my training and skills in order to promote the well-being of individuals and the public at the local, state, national, and international level. It is imperative that I am engaged in communities and working with stakeholders to provide designated change. My service involvement also includes advocacy, in order to promote causes that benefit the public

    Personal

I really enjoy my family time. I am married to my lovely wife (Khalia) and cherish the time I am able to spend with my daughter (Kayla). I work hard to stay physically active by playing soccer (and other team based sports), working out in my yard, and participating in projects that keep me moving.
