Overview

  • Dr. Hwang completed his residency in general surgery at State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by fellowship training in burn surgery at the University of South Florida and a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. He served on faculty at the University of North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center from 2010-2017. He was then recruited to UAB to become the director of the UAB Burn Program.
