Overview

  • Ms. Stanley is an Instructor and Associate Director of the Alabama Statewide Area Health Education Center Program. Ms. Stanley has a Master of Arts in Adult and Higher Education from Morehead State University in 1986. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Kentucky in 1981. My primary responsibility is to develop a sustainable Alabama Statewide AHEC Program that covers all 67 of the state with five (5) centers. We strive to implement programs, services and activities that target underrepresented minority, rural, and other disadvantaged Alabamians for careers in the health professions by developing partnerships and leveraging resources with other organizations. I have dedicated my life to improving the health and access to care for citizens in rural and underserved populations in Appalachia, Delta Region, rural Florida and Alabama.

  • My main areas of interest are Interprofessional Education, health promotion, preventive health, oral health as it relates to systemic health, tropical medicine and Veteran’s health.
