Dr. Johnny M. Carter has been with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 2005. With a primary teaching interest of musculoskeletal medicine, electrodiagnostic medicine, interventional pain medicine and PRP injection therapy, Dr. Carter also has extensive previous experience with Sports Medicine as well. Dr. Carter is a 4 time recipient of the Samuel L. Stover MD Excellence in Teaching Award.
Dr. Powell completed medical school at the University of South Alabama, and her residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she served as chief resident during her training. Butler received his Ph.D. in motor control from the University of Iowa. Dr. Stavrinos is the Director of the Translational Research for Injury Prevention (TRIP) Laboratory. The TRIP Lab offers students at various levels of training (high school, undergraduate, graduate, post-doc) and from various disciplines (e.g., psychology, medicine, public health, engineering, computer science) the opportunity to conduct high quality behavioral research.
